Day-to-day
administration of Union is undertaken by the Bureau. The Bureau
is headed by the President of Union who holds office for a three
year term. Appointment of a new President of Union is made at a
General Assembly of Union (held once every 3 years).
Twice a year
an Executive Committee of Union meets. In attendance at each Executive
Committee are the Bureau, National Delegates and Presidents of
the Working Committees.
Decisions
affecting Union are made at the Executive Committee; when voting
on an issue only the National Delegates are able to cast a vote.
Certain decisions,
such as increase in membership fees, cannot be made by the Executive
Committee. This type of decision can only be made at a General
Assembly.
For a more detailed understanding of Union, see the Statutes.
